…..used to be an unnecessary luxury ever since we have Aida almost six years ago. Financial constrains aside, her chronic eczema flare ups which most of the time were severe, hindered us from any trips we could think of. There were just too much to fear for; “Is the room sufficiently air-conditioned?” ,”Are there carpets in the room?”, “Is the water purified enough?” and our favourite even to this day; “What’s she gonna eat?”
So, no. No. No. No. No. NO VACATIONS.PERIOD. Because really, if you think one night of plush hotel bed is worth one month of flare ups and bleeding nights, then clearly you’ve never taken cared of a tiny human with eczema.
Thankfully, those days are gone. This year, we were blessed enough to squeeze in few mini vacations and sometimes, staycations usually during Aida’s doctor appointments. Case in point, just last month Aida had a great time in Malacca;
Overall, I’m thankful for my daughter’s improving health throughout this year. Here’s hoping for more mini holidays in the following year, for our little eczema warrior’s sake.
